Ding, Ding, Ding… We Have A Winner!
Hello Everyone,
It’s been a week since I lasted talked to you from the Cattle Industry Annual Convention in San Antonio, and what a week it’s been. I finally arrived home late Saturday night to my home state of Oklahoma which looked more like a frozen, icy wasteland, and today we finally got our electricity back.
Last week as the convention several contests were held during all of the excitement and education of our industry. Many young leaders in our industry were made champions in their prospective target areas. The competition areas included: Team Marketing, Speech Contest, and a Judging Contest. The winners of the contests came from all parts of the nation and represented multiple area of the beef industry.
The winners of these competitions are superior leaders and reprentatives of beef, cattle production, and agriculture. It is these young superstars that will someday become the top leaders and hard workers of our outstanding way of life. Because of these leaders, our industry can remain confident that our industry will remain strong and withhold dedicated individuals to fight for what we do no matter what the markets tell us.
I, as long as the 2010 National Beef Ambassador Team, would like to give a formal congratulations to these winners from the competitions in San Antonio last week. Our team works hard all year to advocate for the beef industry, but it is the help of these leaders who aid in our efforts.
Until we meet again, Jackson Alexander
